PF MCCARTHY’S LAUNCH ITS OWN PREMIUM LAGER
April sees the arrival of Kenmare's first house lager. Paul Walsh of PF's has joined together with Kinsale Brewing company to produce a premium quality Irish lager. ‘MCCARTHY’S PREMIUM LAGER’ has no artificial ingredients or additives. It is allowed to mature naturally and nothing is done to speed up this process. All this results in a smooth fresh flavoured, crisp tasting, premium beer.
The idea was born by the need for tourists to our town to have the opportunity to taste a local lager, however the customers of PF's are starting to appreciate this quality lager and it is quickly becoming one of the more popular drinks at PF's. The plan is to expand this brand and hopefully to roll out Kenmare Lager over the coming year with the view to selling it on the world market. This can only be a good opportunity for Kenmare to spread its name internationally. Who knows, someday there may even be a microbrewery and Kenmare Brewery tourist centre to attract more people to the town.

Harp Lager
The Celtic Harp is unique to Ireland and is as much a part of being Irish as the love of life,

Irish way, from some of the finest barley and purest water in the world, for a fuller,
richer flavour. Harp Lager's distinctive taste complements any cuisine.

Budweiser Larger
Unlike most early beers, which used only barley, hops, yeast and water, Budweiser is brewed using rice

"clean finish".
